Our History
1988
Ekin Adademir Limited or as initially established Ekin Ticaret, (Ekin Trading) was founded in 1988 by Ekin Adademir. Main focus of the business was marketing and distribution of consumer products that were imported from several international companies. As a startup company, our main capital was our reliability and honesty.
1996
Ekin Adademir Ltd. is a family company founded by Ekin Adademir in 1996. As successful business startup along with its’ initial partnership with JTI the company grew rapidly yet sustainably within the first two years which has ultimately led us to our current position.
1998
Ekin Adademir Ltd. quickly became known as one of the most successful tobacco and drinks import, export and distribution firms operating in Northern Cyprus. Once EA’s position within the tobacco and drinks sector was fully established sights were set on growth, and entering new market sectors such as travel retail, which gave birth to new partnerships and representations of worldwide brands.
2001
Growing business along with increasing number of team members brought the need for institutionalisation.
2006
In 2006, we have moved to our brand new new office and warehouse building in Hamitköy, Nicosia. After a decade at our Hamitköy head office, company has decided to invest in a brand new warehouse and office building in Haspolat area.
2020
In 2020, we have finally completed the construction of our Haspolat office and warehouse buildings equipped with the latest technology in order to boost our operational and logistics capabilities. New warehouse and offices had a total of 11,000 m² closed area, including 6,500 m² dry and 3,500 m² of cold storage warehouse.
